YOSEMITE’S LESSER-TRAVELED GEMS

While road crews are repairing a section of Highway 120 that provides our direct access to Yosemite Valley, the National Park Service is generously waiving entrance fees at our Highway 120 West/Big Oak Flat entrances.  This means you have free access to explore Yosemite’s Tuolumne and Merced Groves of Giant Sequoias, and the chance to discover lesser-known trails in the Crane Flat section of Yosemite National Park.  Yosemite’s Hetch Hetchy entrance is also just down the road and is your ticket to enjoying Yosemite’s famous scenery and trails, but without the crowds of Yosemite Valley.

BACK AT THE LODGE

Back at the lodge, we’ve got plenty of daily activities planned for you, including our nightly tradition of s’mores by the outdoor fireplace, and fun for all ages in our game room. Our saltwater pool and giant hot tub are heated and open for added fun and relaxation.  As always the Restaurant and Tavern are open for eating and drinking to your heart’s content.

Rush Creek’s friendly Recreation Team is ready to take you on guided adventures and tours ranging from quaint local hikes to all-day excursions.  Depending on how long the snow lasts you might also have a chance to go snowshoeing at the higher elevations.  If you prefer to venture out on your own our Recreation team is also more than happy to help you plan a route that suits your party’s interests most, at no charge.

You can also meet our guides and get ideas from our interactive trip planner in the Explore section of this web site.

So pack your bags and join us for the splendor of spring at Yosemite!
