Yosemite is a spectacular wilderness that was millions of years in the making. Its many parts are still constantly in motion throughout the seasons. Whether your ideal Yosemite experience requires modern creature comforts, or you fancy yourself a modern-day adventurer, a little preparation can go a long way. From seasonal adventure gear rentals to superb mountain dining, we’ve thought of everything to make your time with us the ideal Yosemite getaway. Travel Updates

This year, the National Park Service will experiment a temporary "Peak-Hour Reservation" systems for day-use visitors driving into Yosemite on select days. Yosemite Valley and Highway 120 are open while Glacier Point Road and Tioga Pass are routinely closed for the winter season. For additional traffic alerts and updates from the National Park Service text "YNPTRAFFIC" to 333111.

Rush Creek Location

Rush Creek Lodge sits just half a mile from the Park’s Highway 120 west entrance, providing an ideal launching point for exploration into all parts of Yosemite. Our Yosemite resort is a 3 hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area along scenic Highway 120, the most direct route to Yosemite offering year-round access to the Park.

Yosemite Highlights

Yosemite is one of the most spectacular places on Earth! To truly experience the Park, we recommend spending at least three days with us. Yosemite offers a diverse landscape filled with rivers, glacial carved valleys, picturesque alpine meadows, some of the world’s highest waterfalls, and the world’s largest trees and tallest granite walls.

Hetch Hetchy Valley

The Hetch Hetchy Valley is one of Yosemite’s hidden jewels, and has always been overshadowed by its twin sister, Yosemite Valley. We like it that way since Hetch Hetchy remains a serene and uncrowded oasis. And since Hetch Hetchy is right in our backyard, it’s the perfect place for a day trip or afternoon excursion during your visit.

Our 20 acre hillside property features 143 Rooms, Suites and Villas, full-service Spa, pool area, hot tubs, grand Main Lodge with Restaurant, Tavern, Guest Lounge and Game Room, General Store, elegant Event Hall, outdoor play areas, hiking trails and much more. There's a lot to explore!

Directions & Transportation

Rush Creek Lodge is easy to find! We are located on the western border of Yosemite off of Highway 120. This highway offers convenient access to the lodge from the Bay Area and all parts of California. Highway 120 also offers easy access to Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, Hetch Hetchy and the rest of Yosemite.

Seasonal Conditions

Rush Creek Lodge has picture-perfect weather nine months out of the year. Most days are bright and sunny with cool, comfortable evenings. In the winter months, we generally have mild winter-weather with limited snowfall.

What to Bring

There are a few essentials that make for a more enjoyable Yosemite getaway, and your needs will vary depending on how adventurous you plan to be. In case you forget something, don’t worry - we’ve done our best to anticipate your needs with a variety of items available for rental at our Recreation Desk or for purchase at our General Store.

EV Charging Stations

ChargePoint electric car chargers are available onsite. ChargePoint is an independent company that has built the largest car charging network in the country. We are not involved in providing this service or setting pricing, and do not profit from car charging fees. For more info on charging with ChargePoint, please visit www.chargepoint.com. Access to the charging stations are available through our friendly front desk team.

While we are all pet lovers at Rush Creek, pets (other than registered service animals) are not allowed in guest rooms or on property. The lodge is set in the woods with no fences, so there is potential for conflicts with local wildlife. Pets are easily riled by forest animals, which creates disturbances for other guests and dangers for pets and wildlife.
