Roosevelt & Muir: The Conversation Continues

The past brought us here. the future brings us together.

October 3 | 4–7 PM

What began more than a century ago as a conversation about the future of our public lands continues today.

Join us at Rush Creek Lodge for Roosevelt & Muir: The Conversation Continues, an evening exploring the enduring legacy of two of America’s most influential conservationists and the future of the lands they helped inspire us to protect.

Set at the gateway to Yosemite, this historic gathering brings together the great grandsons of Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir for a thoughtful and engaging Q&A session. Hear firsthand perspectives on their ancestors’ shared passion for the outdoors, their historic contributions to conservation, and what their legacies can teach us about the responsibility we all share to care for our public lands.

The conversation may have started with Roosevelt and Muir, but it belongs to all of us now.

Join us in the Guest Lounge for a casual meet and greet with light refreshments and appetizers from 4pm to 5pm.  Then from 5pm to 7pm we welcome your participation in a moderated Q&A session with Ted Roosevelt IV, great-grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt, and Robert Hanna, great-great-grandson of John Muir.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, however your RSVP is required as the space is limited to 90 attendees.
