Thanksgiving at Rush Creek Lodge is a combination of traditional holiday warmth and the beauty of Yosemite National Park. The centerpiece is a feast prepared with locally sourced ingredients, featuring everything from perfectly roasted turkey with all the trimmings to other more dishes and desserts.

As you arrive at our lodge, you'll be welcomed into festive atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable Thanksgiving experience. The itinerary unfolds with a series of holiday events and culinary delights, including a delicious Thanksgiving feast.
DAY 1: Arrive at Rush Creek Lodge
Arrive early and enjoy a relaxing lunch, then set out on a self guided hike on one of our Nature Trails.
Visit the Game Room in the Main Lodge and challenge your friends of family to a game of foosball or shuffle board.
After dinner, enjoy making s’mores by the fireside or stargaze from then hot tub, then head over to the Rush Creek Tavern for a little pre-Thanksgiving celebration.

Sleep in and enjoy easing into the holiday in your cozy cabin. After a hearty breakfast, gear up to hit the Park with our naturalist guides for a memorable Yosemite Valley Sightseeing Tour! If you’re feeling more adventurous, join us for a hike (or Snowshoe!) through Yosemite Valley or to the Giant Sequoias and learn about the local flora & fauna, while working up an appetite on the trail.
If you’re feeling a little lazy, just hang out at the lodge and enjoy the fall beauty in the hot tub, or root for your favorite football team as we turn our tavern into your turkey day living room, with ballgames and beverages available throughout the day.

Begin your day with a hot breakfast, then grab lunch to go and hit the trail with family and friends for the day. Join an hike or snowshoe to see the world’s largest living species – Giant Sequoias. Or let our guides show you Yosemite’s hidden gem, Hetch Hetchy Valley. You can also just sit back and relax in the morning and join us for an afternoon craft, or California craft beer tasting!

Indulge in a lazy morning and a breakfast, then stop at our Recreation Desk for a fall arts & crafts project. Stick around for lunch, or get out and enjoy a day in Yosemite. Once again you can choose from one of our guided hikes or sightseeing tours. Whichever trip you choose, you will learn more about the history, plants, and animals of Yosemite while taking in the vistas of the postcard-perfect scenery.
