We’re honored to partner with the Yosemite Climbing Association to bring stewardship and volunteerism to our favorite local areas.
Yosemite Facelift is an annual stewardship project started 20 years ago by Ken Yager. He’s a thoughtful Yosemite climber and guide who just wanted all of us to enjoy Yosemite without careless litter ruining our visit and our beloved park.
Now, people of all ages and abilities come from all over the world to contribute anything from one hour of simple trail or roadside trash collection to several days of major cleanups.
It’s grown into a week-long event that’s filled with fun and camaraderie that transcends all boundaries, and has found its way into more than 20 additional locations throughout America.
Yosemite Facelift has collected over a million pounds of random Yosemite trash in the past 20 years.
You can participate in person or virtually in your own neighborhood, but you do need to pre-register at yosemiteclimbing.org
