Yosemite sets the stage for a calming close to 2023 and an inspired launch into 2024 with this amazing celebration for the New Year!
This time of year you can often feel like you have the entire Park to yourself, and the sparkle of glistening snow on Yosemite’s scenic wonders is nothing short of magical. You really do have to see it for yourself in order to appreciate it fully.
With our location at Yosemite’s doorstep, next to the Highway 120 West entrance to the Park, Rush Creek is the ideal basecamp for exploring Yosemite’s iconic attractions.
Upon arrival, you can visit our Recreation Desk in the Guest Lounge for insider tips and free planning advice for your ideal romp through the Park, or leave the driving and the details to us on one of our professionally guided excursions. We cover the gambit from light sightseeing such as our Range of Light Yosemite Valley Tour to exceptional seasonal treasures like our Giant Sequoia Hike/Snowshoe and much more. Oh, and did you know you can take a Flight Tour over Yosemite? Yes, you can!

Rush Creek Food & Fun!
Our recipe for the best New Year’s celebration ever starts with a warm Rush Creek welcome, and includes a fabulous dinner, a champagne toast, and late-night shenanigans hosted by our party DJ in the Tavern.
We top it off with breathtaking Yosemite adventures, daily activities for all ages back at the lodge, including free fireside s’mores every night – with no hidden Resort Fees!

You’ll have a ball in our classic game room stocked with Billiards, Shuffleboard, Vintage-inspired Bubble Hockey, a sprawling indoor Tree House climbing gym suitable for both kids and kids-at-heart, to name a few.
We also really love an invigorating walk on one of our local hiking trails, then chilling out by a warm fire in our cozy Guest Lounge filled with comfy chairs and couches, games and books, plus our friendly Recreation Desk staff who just love to talk about all things Yosemite!
Did someone say Spa?
Oh yes, we did.
As if Yosemite and the Lodge itself weren’t enough, you can take your New Year celebration to a whole new level with some playful relaxation in our Yosemite-inspired Spa.
Yes, we just said “playful relaxation” and you will understand it if you choose some Spa Day Use or Treatments. We’ve literally seen grown-ups giggle, and kids love the Family Friendly Day Spa time from 9am – 11am daily.
From the Granite Waterfall Mineral Hot Tub in the Spa’s heated outdoor lounge, to the Warm Waterfall Coves, Himalayan Salt Block Sauna, Aromatherapy Steam Room and soothing Sensory Room, prepare to be amazed! (Keep scrolling for a lovely video that does so much more than words can do.)

The fun begins with our December Recreation Calendar featuring daily activities for all ages, recommended Hikes & Tours, Spa Day Use and Wellness, and there are plenty more surprises in store over New Year’s weekend, including a New Year’s Celebration to ring in the new year!
Cozy up to a warm fire for guest favorites such as Yosemite Trivia, Bingo, Nature Talks and Storytime.
Then head over to our classic game room for some billiards, foosball, shuffleboard, or climb through our indoor tree house.
For outdoor fun, you’ll find plenty of games throughout our 20-acre hillside property.
Giant Checkers and Connect Four, Bocce, Corn Hole, and Zip Lines abound.
Plus we’ve got several miles of local hiking trails in the forest surrounding the lodge.
Winter is an ideal time in Yosemite, when you can often feel as though you have the Park all to yourself. Yosemite’s scenery in glistening snow is positively magical.
